Split-Type Solar Street Lights Are Currently The Most Widely Used Solar Lighting Products

Their solar panels are installed at the top of the light pole, while the LED light heads are fixed to the cantilever of the pole, using an external battery for energy storage and power supply. Traditional split-type streetlights mostly use lead-acid batteries, which have drawbacks such as large size, low capacity, insufficient depth of discharge, and poor conversion efficiency. The industry has now generally upgraded to lithium iron phosphate batteries, but the direct installation of external lithium batteries on the light pole makes them highly susceptible to theft.

To address this theft concern, semi-split-type solar streetlights have emerged, integrating the battery under the photovoltaic panel or inside the light body. However, photovoltaic panels are exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods, with surface temperatures reaching up to 90°C in summer. When the battery is placed under the photovoltaic panel, high-temperature conduction severely reduces battery life.

To address this issue, RoadSmar employs an integrated lamp head and battery design, isolating the battery from the photovoltaic panel's heat conduction and ensuring the solar panel always faces the sun, thereby maximizing light absorption and power generation efficiency. (Except for the HS series)
